The Health and Social Care Apprenticeship is made up of four key elements:

  • A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)
  • Key Skills
  • Technical Certificate
  • Employment rights and responsibilities.

This is a full-time, permanent work-based Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care. You enjoy on-the-job training towards nationally recognised qualifications at Levels 2 and 3, guided by our professional assessors who provide one-to-one support and advice throughout your programme.

Apprentices usually start their training at Level 2, depending on their qualifications and ability. This is identified at an initial assessment.

Course content
Subject areas include:

  • Eating and drinking
  • Moving and handling
  • Pressure care
  • Health and safety
  • Communication.

earn while you learn. It is ideal if you wish to gain valuable work experience and training within a Health and Social Care environment and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Who should apply?
School / College leavers who are interested in a career in Health and Social Care. You can apply for this course if you are interested in working within a Care Home / Hospital / Hospice etc. We have great relationships with many local employers and will be able to find your ideal placement.

Duration
Health and Social Care Apprenticeship - 8 months.
Health and Social Care Advanced Apprenticeship - 10 months.
